In the ancient Radnorshire village of Bleddfa the Old School Gallery at the Bleddfa Centre, offers an exciting and varied season every month of exhibitions of painting, drawing, sculpture and photography. This simple and elegant space in what was once the village school is an ideal venue for the visual arts, adding to and expanding on the remit of the Bleddfa Centre's mission to explore the relationship between creativity and spirituality. As well as exhibitions of their work artists take workshops on both the practical issues of art and the aesthetics underpining their work. The Hall Barn workshop area at the Centre offers additional tranquil and reflective space for arts workshops as well as seminars lectures and retreats, and is available for hire.
Situated approximately 7 miles from Knighton, the Centre includes the Gallery, a small Gallery Shop, the Reading Room for light refreshments amongst its collection of new and secondhand books, and the reference James Roose-Evans Library for the Creative Spirit.
The Old School Gallery is open from late March to mid December, Wednesdays to Sundays from 2pm to 5pm.
