I am a sculptor working in steel and clay, materials I have chosen because they can be worked directly towards their final permanant state, no casting is necessary. Steel is so strong it can almost float with minimum support, it also sympathetically takes the fluidity and expressivenes of the human body. Clay in many ways is the exact opposite. So soft and seductive but when dried and fired it will outlast the strongest steel. Contradictions to play with and use, these are the means to my ends, the work must speak for itself.
